David Letterman Makes Violent Threats on Internet Jihadist

Are jihadists becoming to a small degree out of touch? Their latest target is David Letterman, of all people, as a result of he made a joke about the deaths of Osama bin Laden and OBL's successor Ilyas Kashmiri. On the al-Qaeda forum Shumoukh al-Islam, somebody by the name of Umar al-Basrawi referred to as upon U.S. Muslims to cut off Letterman's tongue and break his neck.
The post was found by the center East Media research Institute (MEMRI), that monitors on-line activity in Middle eastern countries. "I have seen with my eyes and heard with my ears one of the scum of the Jews, one of their pigs, mocking the leaders of the mujahedeen," al-Basrawi posted on the forum. "It is the hateful David Letterman, an american Zionist, who hosts a comedy show referred to as 'The Late Show with David Letterman.'" Of note: David Letterman isn't truly Jewish, although as MEMRI president Yigal Carmon explained to the Voice, "it's another value" for the needs of the threat.
Recent calls from a jihadist to cut the tongue off of David Letterman over a joke he made on his CBS show have put the spotlight back on Hollywood's reactions to such threats.
On Wednesday, the site Monitoring Service, a non-public intelligence organization that watches on-line activity, said that the threat against Letterman had been posted a day earlier on the Shumuka al-Islam forum, a popular net destination for radical Muslims.
