Ben Affleck Shoots Down 'Justice League' Rumors

Fanboys were abuzz earlier this month when a report emerged claimingBen Affleckwas being courted to direct and possibly star in Warner Bros.Justice Leaguemovie.

Now the actor-director has put that rumor to rest (sort of), saying he isnt involved in the studios planned superhero ensemble.

"I'm not working on the Justice League. One of the problems with entertainment web sites is that they need to fill pages, and that's how rumours get started," Affleck said in an interview with Canadian press (via24 Hours).

"Justice League sounds really exciting, but it's not something I'm working on, he continued.

Previously,The Dark Knight RiseshelmerChristopher Nolanput the kibosh on speculation that he would take a stab at DCs answer to MarvelsThe Avengers.

"I've got no plans to do anything more, and certainly, no involvement with anyJustice League project," Nolansaid last month.
