Bobby Brown Has Been Arrested

Singer Bobby Brown was arrested within the San Fernando Valley on suspicion of driving underneath the influence, law enforcement officers said.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, Bobby was pulled over in Reseda, CA at 12:20 PM PST for allegedly driving whereas talking on a cell phone.

We're told 43-year-old Bobby is currently in custody in Van Nuys jail. It's unclear what substance cops believe Brown had been using before he got behind the wheel.

The arrest occurred at 12:20 p.m. Monday at near the corner of Victory Boulevard and Wilbur Avenue, according to California Highway Patrol officer Mike Harris. Officers pulled him over for talking on his cellphone however then administered a field sobriety check, Harris said.

The arrest comes four days after the los angeles County Coroner's office released the results of its autopsy of Brown's ex-wife, Whitney Houston.

Houston seems to have used cocaine "in the time period simply immediately before her collapse within the bathtub at the hotel," said L.A. County Chief Coroner Craig Harvey. Houston, 48, determined to have accidentally drowned Feb. eleven following an evident heart episode with cocaine as contributing issue.

Officials would not say how much of the drug was in her system. But Harvey, the coroner's operations chief, said the toxicology findings "suggested chronic usage" of the drug.

Update 

2:52 PM PST -- Law enforcement sources tell us ... cops believe Brown was DRUNK at the time of his arrest.
Brown was booked for driving under the influence and for driving with the blood alcohol content of .08 or higher.
